LONDON & ATLANTA--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Dec. 13, 2000

SEAGULL, a leading provider of e-business-enabling software technology for Web-to-host, wireless-to-host and Enterprise Application Integration (EAI), announced today the promotion of Jeremy Sharp to UK Country Manager, and the expansion of the UK office in accordance with its plan to broaden the company's presence in Europe. Formerly UK Sales Manager for SEAGULL, Sharp has a strong business development background in the IT software, hardware and services industry. He will manage the company's sales and services infrastructure to support its growing UK customer base and the strong demand for e-business software.

"The past 18 months have brought significant growth for SEAGULL's operations in the UK," commented Jeremy Sharp, UK Country Manager at SEAGULL. "We are in a strong position to capitalise on the opportunities within our market, and to contribute to increasing our presence throughout Europe. SEAGULL's business is all to do with delivering the competitive differentiator and our mission is to help our customers transform their industries from where they are today, to where e-business can take them in the future."

The UK office, located in Uxbridge, Middlesex, services England, Scotland, Ireland and Wales.

"The demand for powerful, rapid deployment e-business solutions is worldwide," said Don Addington, SEAGULL's president and COO. "The expansion of our UK operations furthers our objective to provide world-class software solutions on a global scale while delivering cohesive sales and support infrastructure at the local level."

Today, SEAGULL's product portfolio includes Transidiom(TM), Wireless-to-Host(TM), WinJa(TM), and J Walk(TM).

About the Products

Transidiom is the newest addition to the SEAGULL product family, introduced in October 2000. Transidiom is software technology for seamlessly integrating all XML, COM and Java-compliant e-business applications with mainframe and midrange applications. Transidiom can be used to integrate front-office applications like customer relationship management, supply chain, storefront, employee intranet - any strategic Web application initiative - with core business processes running on back office systems like order processing, inventory, and claims processing.

Wireless-to-Host solution comprises a suite of tools and technology for opening access to mission critical business applications from wireless phones, PDA's and PocketPCs. For example, Wireless-to-Host enables customers to equip their sales professionals with the ability to not only access host data from a wireless device, but actually place and receive orders in real-time, streamlining the sales process and enhancing customer service.

WinJa, for the mainframe and J Walk, for the midrange, are complete solutions that allow developers to quickly implement Web-to-host/host-to-Web GUI connectivity for enterprise applications. Both products can be deployed to any mix of Java, browser or Windows thin clients; integrate applications with other applications at the desktop; reengineer application workflow; and manage communication through built-in terminal emulation -- all from a single development effort, and without altering the host application code.
