Weekly, Exclusive Comedy Series in Digital Audio

Available For Streaming and Download from the Web

Audible, Inc. (NASDAQ:ADBL), the leading provider of Internet-delivered spoken audio (www.audible.com(TM)) for PC-based listening or mobile playback on AudibleReady(R) portable digital audio players, and stand-up comedian and writer Steve Marmel announced today the premiere of At the Edge of Audible (www.audible.com/stevemarmel), a weekly series of stand-up comedy vignettes that is exclusively available online from Audible, Inc.

At the Edge of Audible delivers a weekly dose of raucous, stand-up comedy material. The AudibleComedy(TM) series will feature Marmel going after the establishment in his no-holds-barred, take-no-prisoners style. From political mischief with George W. Bush, Al Gore, Joe Lieberman and Dick Cheney to taking on Rosie O'Donnell and Regis Philbin or dissecting "Sex and the City" and "Will and Grace," Marmel will have a joke drawn from his own biting wit and strong point of view.

"Audible, and creating performance on the Internet, gives me total freedom of speech that lets me say what I want - in whatever way I want to say it," said Steve Marmel. "It's not for the easily offended, but it's a great gag to play it for them."

With material as fresh as today's newspaper, Steve Marmel has a knack for saying what everyone else is thinking. Marmel's stand-up performances for At the Edge of Audible are recorded live at bars, coffee houses, colleges and comedy clubs around the country. In Marmel's hometown of Los Angeles, he can be seen regularly at the world-famous Improvisation in Hollywood.

"At the Edge of Audible will present Steve Marmel's original comedy voice and is another great reason why audible.com has become a regular entertainment destination on the Internet for tens of thousands of listeners," added Brian Fielding, senior vice president of content, Audible, Inc. "We are pleased to introduce At the Edge of Audible, that brings Steve's incisive and usually caustic comic perspective to a vast digital audience. Along with other exclusive AudibleComedy series like RobinWilliams @ audible.com and AudibleProops with Greg Proops, Steve brings to life the latest in innovative online audio performance from audible.com."

At the Edge of Audible is available to purchase online as individual episodes ($1.95) or a full year's subscription ($4.95). Steve Marmel will occasionally respond to e-mail sent to him through the audible.com Web site or to e-mail sent directly to marmel@audible.com.
