NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Dec. 14, 2000
CorporateIntelligence.com's PATEX Now Packed With Over 9,000
Listings of High Quality Patents and Technologies
Available for License
CorporateIntelligence.com today announced that patent and technology listings available for license at its PATEX exchange (www.patex.com) have grown to over 9,000. Among the new clients are Tyco Electronics, NASA, Delphi Automotive Systems, Robert Bosch GmbH, Henkel, Koenig & Bauer AG, Alstom, Air Products and Chemicals, The Midwest Federal Labs Consortium, Buckman Laboratories International, California Institute of Technology, University of Oregon, Oregon State University and University of British Columbia.
"It's exciting to watch our portfolio grow so quickly," commented Dooyong Lee, EVP and General Manager of PATEX. "Traffic to PATEX has increased dramatically as our clients view PATEX as the platform of choice for extracting value from underutilized, often non-core assets. Introductions on PATEX between licensors and licensees are occurring on a regular basis as corporations, universities and research institutions begin to embrace the Internet to supplement their traditional licensing efforts," added Mr. Lee.
According to a 1998 study commissioned by BTG, a global leader in technology commercialization and PATEX partner, "Thirty-five percent of patented technologies for corporations are neglected because they no longer fit into their core business operations," stated Anthony Lando, EVP and COO of BTG International Inc. "PATEX provides a way for our IP to gain additional exposure," commented Anthony Lee, Vice President of Delphi Technologies, Inc. "We feel this online licensing exchange will assist us in expanding and broadening our potential licensees," added Anthony Lee. "Buckman is excited to join the PATEX portal due to its long standing understanding and support in IP matters," commented Fernando del Corral, Director of Corporate Alliances and Technology at Buckman Labs, one of the top ten companies selected for knowledge management by Linkage Inc.
