WALLDORF, Germany--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Dec. 19, 2000
In a key indicator of growing market momentum for mySAP(TM) Customer Relationship Management (CRM), SAP AG (NYSE ADR: SAP) today announced that mySAP(TM) CRM received a strong evaluation in a recent report by AMR Research Inc., one of the world's premier industry analyst firms.
The report added mySAP CRM to its short list of e-business relationship management (ERM) products.
In its evaluation, "SAP CRM Is Finally Ready for Your Short List," from the AMR SAP Advisory Service for December 2000, AMR Research determined that mySAP Customer Relationship Management provides "the right approach" to ERM and concludes that SAP "has a serious ERM product for customers to evaluate." The evaluation further stated that "mySAP CRM offers users a seamless blend of ERM, supply chain, business (information) warehouse and enterprise resource planning (ERP) functionality." AMR noted that other solutions offer some measure of integration, "but not to the depth or breadth of this type of process integration" supplied by mySAP CRM. The benefit of this level of integration is that it enables employee empowerment through information access "throughout the suite and into the sales, pricing, configuration, financial, manufacturing, logistics and planning components."
In addition, the report accentuates the growing abilities of mySAP CRM as part of a broad e-business platform capable of meeting increasing demands for new technologies and applications such as mobile computing. For example, the report concluded that "SAP's full suite of applications ... delivered in a role-based scenario on the mySAP Workplace(TM) is the correct vision for where organizations will want to go with mobile computing."
"We are energized with this latest development, which clearly shows that SAP provides customers with the correct vision and functionality necessary to remain at the forefront of their industries," said Peter Zencke, member of the executive board of SAP AG. "mySAP CRM enables our customers to have laser-sharp focus on their own customers and partners and the ability to manage relationships profitably through all channels."
