NATICK, Mass.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Dec. 19, 2000

Instruction Set, a leading Education Solutions Provider(TM) (E*SP(TM)), today announced that it has been selected by Citrix Systems, Inc., a global leader in application server software and services, to develop a customized training program to educate over 1000 Citrix personnel worldwide. Instruction Set's program will enhance and broaden Citrix employees' knowledge of cutting-edge Internet and Web technologies, making them even more effective in their communications with their customers and business partners.

As Citrix continues to grow, its multi-cultural workforce becomes increasingly geographically dispersed. Because of this constantly changing audience, and the proliferation of the Internet, having a solid knowledge of Internet and Web technologies has become an essential skill for Citrix staff. Jointly developed by Instruction Set and Citrix, the Web Technologies Training Program was created to meet the company's enterprise-wide need for a consistent training experience, and will be accessible to Citrix employees in the U.S., Europe, Australia, Japan, India, Canada, and South America.

"Citrix has a strong commitment to education, both to ensure future competitive advantage for the company, and career advancement for our employees. We needed a modular program of self-paced training courses that would allow Citrix personnel to broaden their scope of expertise in these technologies," said Michael Richtberg, director of marketing programs and product strategy for Citrix. "We selected Instruction Set because of their ability to work with us on creating customized content tailored to our specific requirements and expertise in teaching Web technology. They provided thoroughly prepared material on a broad cross-section of material and accommodated our need for a flexible, easy-to-use delivery model."

Instruction Set is recognized for developing tools that are easy-to-use, intuitive and customized for a particular product. Instruction Set created for Citrix custom curricula from which Citrix videotaped the instructor-led courses, and then converted this into electronic format allowing employees to take the Instruction Set courses anytime, anywhere.

"Citrix is a clear industry leader, and we are pleased they have chosen us to develop this training program," said Instruction Set vice president of marketing, Stephen Gentile. "In creating this program, Instruction Set and Citrix combined each company's depth of technology and lessons in best practices to create the advanced learning program that can be delivered to Citrix employees worldwide. We look forward to working with Citrix on future learning initiatives."
