University System of Maryland Selects PeopleSoft; eBusiness Solutions to Lead USM into 21st Century

PeopleSoft Inc. (Nasdaq:PSFT) today announced that the University System of Maryland (USM) has licensed PeopleSoft's pure internet solutions for higher education.
Included in the contract is pure internet software for Student Administration, Human Resources, Financials, Enterprise Warehouse, Customer Relationship Management (CRM) Sales and Marketing, and End User Training.
The contract will help USM degree-granting institutions better manage their systems to compete in the 21st century. By using these applications, USM faculty, staff and alumni will have immediate internet access to such academic and financial information as flexible billing, class registration, and financial aid.
At the same time, the PeopleSoft solutions will fully integrate student, employee and supplier information across the system, and organize the information through efficient data management and reporting.
