Doubletree Hotels to Donate Hotel Amenities to Los Angeles Charities

BEVERLY HILLS, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Dec. 22, 2000

Doubletree Hotels, a subsidiary of Hilton Hotels Corp. (NYSE:HLT), announced today plans to donate and deliver hotel amenities to 10 Los Angeles-area charities.

Among the nonprofit organizations to receive the "CARE" packages of much-needed personal amenities are San Fernando Valley Community Mental Health Center, Project Angel Food, Tuesday's Child, Venice Family Clinic, Children of the Night, Children's Institute International, The Serra Project, Downtown Women's Center, Regis House and Chrysalis.

"Thousands of individuals and families are in great need of personal care items this holiday season, and with Doubletree's generosity, along with the non-profit organizations acting as a catalyst, we are able to distribute these amenities to the people that need them the most," said David Horton, vice president -- marketing, for Doubletree Hotels. "We are always looking for ways to make a difference and give back to those in need. It is especially gratifying that we are able to reach out to them during the holiday season."

Distributed among the 10 charities will be 150,000 personal-size Doubletree amenities of shampoo, conditioner, soap and mouthwash, which will be personally delivered by Horton today.
