SAN DIEGO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Dec. 4, 2000
Enosus, the Internet professional services subsidiary of DAOU Systems Inc. (Nasdaq:DAOU), announced today the deployment of the new Pepsi Tour website, www.pepsitour.com.
Pepsi Tour engaged Enosus to completely overhaul and re-launch the golf tour's Web site. Founded in 1994 by the All Golfers Tour Association, the Pepsi Tour will host 90 tournaments in three western states this year (more than the PGA tour), with total prizes exceeding $750,000. Enosus designed and engineered a new look and feel for the entire site, integrating sophisticated data management capabilities and providing visitors with a vastly improved experience.
Enhancements include additional tour information and the incorporation of new sections dedicated to tournament results, scheduling, ongoing money and points listings, digital application and membership forms and player profiles. The project provides other new, significant advantages to the Pepsi Tour organizers as well, including the ability to update site information from any location and to better integrate and manage all the player and points data.
"Players and fans of the Pepsi Tour will be treated to an entirely new digital experience," said Eric Ringwall, executive vice president of Enosus. "Given the tour's growth, the ability to manage the data on 90 tournaments and hundreds of players will become increasingly critical."
Stacy Duty is the Southern California tournament director of the Pepsi Tour. "A strong Web presence is absolutely vital to our organization and is expected by our sponsors and players," said Duty. "Enosus demonstrated capabilities well beyond any of the other companies we talked with. Most importantly, they get it -- they understand exactly what we need and how to achieve it."
The new site was completed on schedule with Enosus' skilled project management and was designed for other future capabilities as well, which may include Web cams, player chat rooms, on-line lessons and more.
