MORRISTOWN, N.J.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Dec. 4, 2000
onProject, a leading provider of online collaborative project management products and services, announced that David Medinets has joined the company as Director of Research & Development. The announcement comes in the midst of a rising demand for the company's offerings.
"David brings unparalleled talent and experience building innovative e-Business applications that are highly scalable and easily integrated into an enterprise," stated Joe Murgio, onProject `s CEO. "He will give us tremendous marketplace advantage as we embark on a major growth run."
"His acceptance of the position," Murgio continued, "is a solid vote of confidence not only in our vision for the onProject platform, but for the prospect of continued growth in a time when so many technology and Internet companies are downsizing--or even closing their doors."
Throughout his career, Medinets has worked on a variety of groundbreaking IT projects for companies such as IBM, Verizon (Formerly Bell Atlantic), AIG, Hoechst Marion Roussel, Prudential, and others, including Toysrus.com, consistently one of the top 10 busiest websites on the Internet. He is an accomplished author of several technology books and publications, and a world-renowned expert in Allaire ColdFusion, a development and deployment platform for building next generation applications for e-commerce and business-process automation.
In addition to a steady upsurge in its ASP [Application Service Provider] business for work teams, onProject has realized soaring demand for its Partners program as well as its Hosted ASP, Private Label and Enterprise Server offerings, from industry giants like Nortel, Ernst & Young, US Navy, Montgomery Watson, KPMG/Guam Telephone Authority, Amerock (Newell Rubbermaid) and Carnival Cruise Lines; as well as new economy companies such as eWork Express, Red Hat, FullScope, BizProLink Network and Bluetrain.
"A lot of technology companies have floundered recently, so we must be providing these businesses the right mix of functionality, cost-savings, productivity gains, customer service and, certainly, business stability," explained Max Basenese, onProject's VP of Sales. "Enterprise computing should be affordable to small companies and big companies alike. We found the way to make that happen."
