BOSTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Dec. 6, 2000
International Data Group (IDG), the world's leading provider of IT media and information services, recently swept the annual Australian Business Publishers (ABP) Association Bell Awards for Excellence, winning 12 of the 28 categories in which awards were given. IDG titles won the top two major awards - "Business Magazine of the Year" and "Best Specialist Magazine of the Year;" six of the eight awards for editorial excellence; two of the three electronic publishing awards; and the award for "Magazine Launch of the Year."
"These awards serve as a testament to our commitment to deliver the highest levels of editorial quality and integrity," said Don Kennedy, managing director, IDG Australia. "We take great pride in receiving such acclaim as these awards sets the standard for editorial excellence for publishing in Australia."
ABP annually recognizes excellence in business and specialist publishing with the ABP Bell Awards, now in its fifth year. More than 600 print and online publications were eligible for nomination this year, and there were more than 250 entries, according to the ABP.
For two consecutive years, CIO has won more awards than any other Australian publication, and this year was named "Business Magazine of the Year." CIO also won awards in the categories of "Best Editorial Issues Campaign of the Year," "Best Case Studies of the Year," "Best Analytical Writing of the Year" and "Business Publishing Printing Project of the Year." The publication also received awards for "Best Opinion Segment Series" and "Best Single Issue Graphic Design."
