UPSwin provides the vehicle for traditional as well as e-commerce merchants to process their transactions through UniComp which, through its relationships with companies such as American Express, Discover and Paymentech forwards the transaction to the applicable clearinghouse. According to UniComp President and CEO Stephen A. Hafer, the new freeware combined with UniComp's payment processing program provides merchants as well as software developers a significant cost savings over competitive solutions such as Cybercash and Go Software who charge for their transaction processing software.
"It is important to offer the traditional brick and mortar merchant the ability to expand their revenue sources by offering transaction processing services that, with a basic setup cost, will provide merchants the ability to process all credit card and check transactions quickly and cost effectively," commented Hafer. "And, another important component in our merchant transaction processing services is our Tranzparent Internet Portal. The portal provides a full compliment of web hosting services to allow a brick and mortar merchant to expand into the brick and click market to better service their customer."
Hafer noted that UniComp's growth strategy within the retail market encompasses a solid line of products and services to support both the traditional retail system solutions as well as the wireless, handheld e-commerce solutions for all retail merchants whether brick and mortar, brick and click, or e-commerce -- UniComp, a one-stop provider of retail products and services.
