Pavilion Technologies Inc. To Exclusively License DuPont Nylon's Neural Net and Expert Systems Technologies

AUSTIN, Texas--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Feb. 2, 2000
Pavilion Technologies Inc. today announced that it has signed an agreement with DuPont Nylon (NYSE:DD) which enables Pavilion to exclusively license Dupont Nylon's neural net and expert systems in process control applications.
Under the terms of the agreement, Pavilion has the right to license 15 DuPont patents and two software programs that represent the basis for many process control applications.
&uot;Pavilion has demonstrated a firm commitment to licensing and marketing neural net and expert system-based technologies in process control applications,&uot; said Dr. Kewal Likhyani, DuPont Nylon's Director of Licensing and Joint Ventures. &uot;By executing this agreement, Pavilion will be in a position to continue to expand the use of this powerful technology.&uot;
&uot;This agreement is another tangible step in our aggressive pursuit and protection of process control technology,&uot; said Pete Perialas, Pavilion President and CEO. Perialas added that Pavilion will actively enforce these and all other ownership/licensing rights for the company's current offerings and its future development activities. &uot;Our goal is to provide protection to the substantial investment that our customers have made in their intellectual property assets,&uot; he said.
