Agilent acceSS7 System Will Help Reduce Network Problems
and Improve Quality of Service Reporting
Agilent Technologies, Inc. (NYSE:A) today announces that Fujian Province PTA, one of the largest Chinese regional communications service providers, has selected the Agilent acceSS7 system to monitor and report on the performance of its SS7 network.
The system will provide Fujian PTA with early warning of network problems, allowing them to take corrective action before customers are affected. The system will also provide detailed Quality of Service (QoS) information, so that Fujian PTA can provide comprehensive customer-focussed reports on network quality and network optimization to China Telecom.

Fujian PTA will use standard acceSS7 surveillance and troubleshooting applications and additional business intelligence applications developed specifically for the company. In addition Fujian PTA intends to develop customized applications on top of the acceSS7 business intelligence platform.
