Comprehensive Security System Also Brings High Level of Trust and
Confidentiality to Paperless Document Transactions
TriNet, a leading provider of web-enabled total solutions for outsourced payroll, benefits and Human Resource (HR) support, today announced it has licensed digital certificate software from Entrust Technologies Inc. (Nasdaq: ENTU), global leader for solutions that bring trust to e-business.
The partnership allows TriNet to provide increased security levels for business-to-business transactions to its 400 fast-growth technology customers, including paperless data transfer and transaction processing through its secure customer extranet. Additionally, TriNet becomes one of the first business process outsourcers (BPOs) to add electronic authentication by including strong digital signatures on e-forms or other key communications for employees and managers.
"TriNet is strengthening and expanding its product offerings in the human resources outsourcing market by utilizing Entrust's Web-based security infrastructure products. TriNet will now be able to maximize customer service by securing B2B relationships, including sensitive human resource transactions," said Bob Heard, senior vice-president, marketing and business development, Entrust Technologies, Inc. "Entrust is proud to have been selected by TriNet as they look to secure their future e-business strategies and customer relationships."
"Our customer relationships and the nature of our business make us privy to an extraordinary amount of confidential information," said Martin Babinec, TriNet's President and CEO. "In effect, they permit us to serve their most precious resource-- their employees--while protecting sensitive data. Our partnership with Entrust Technologies ensures that our customers' data remains secure and confidential, without sacrificing the convenience of web-based delivery."
"Mountains of paper forms, reports, and other documents that require manual handling will be replaced with electronic versions thanks to Entrust's leading-edge technology," stated Babinec. "Imagine the convenience and cost savings of completely paperless new hire processing now that digital signatures are legally binding in many states, including California," he continued.
As an early adopter of web technologies, TriNet's secure extranet currently allows customers to access individual employee information, conduct benefits transactions, including enrollment, and receive management information of special value to technology companies.
