Sagent's Address Cleanser & Coder Transform Delivers Geographic
Profiles According to U.S. Postal Service Regulations
Sagent Technology Inc. (Nasdaq:SGNT), a leading provider of Real-time eBusiness Intelligence solutions, introduced today the Address Cleanser & Coder Transform, the first in a series of transform modules called Customer I.Q. (Information Quality) for improving e-business customer relationship management. The transform is used to standardize and correct U.S. Postal addresses, as well as append geographic data, to improve the accuracy of corporate customer databases.
The growth of the Internet and increased competition among e-businesses has sharpened the focus on today's customers. The Sagent Address Cleanser & Coder Transform extends Sagent's eBusiness Intelligence solution with an integrated component for cleansing corporate customer profiles to ensure that businesses have the best possible data on each of their customers. This information is critical for securing and coding valid mailing addresses and incorporating geographic data used to implement direct marketing campaigns, financial invoice dissemination, cross-sell and up-sell opportunities, and corporate demographic analysis.
The Sagent transform is accompanied by a special data set from the U.S. Postal Service and the U.S. Census Bureau for frequently updating customer addresses on a bi-monthly basis. The transform employs sophisticated algorithms to match each customer record to an address in the data set. Once matched, the transform can correct, transform, standardize and code the preferred address.
Sagent's Address Cleanser & Coder Transform is the first in a series of transforms being engineered by Sagent as a result of its recent acquisition of Qualitative Marketing Software (QMSoft), a leader in delivering real-time, transactional, value-added customer information and marketing eServices on the Web. Together, the companies' complementary technologies allow eBusinesses to strategically use the Web to better understand their prospects and customers, optimize revenue and profitability, as well as maximize company effectiveness by combining valuable real-time customer marketing data with eMarketing expertise.
NetAcumen, a leading application service provider (ASP) focused on delivering solutions that provide e-businesses with complete eVisitor insight, currently uses the Sagent Address Cleanser & Coder Transform for improving data quality associated with the collection of information on Web site visitors.
"Sagent's Address Cleanser and Coder Transform allows us to provide enhanced data quality and address validation to e-businesses, delivering up-to-date information on their online customers," said David Silver, founder and CEO of NetAcumen. "We are helping our customers facilitate a dialog with the eVisitor, providing improved customer interaction leading to increased customer acquisition, retention, and growth."
