IRVINE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Feb. 25, 2000
Go2 Systems, the originator of Go2(TM), the first global addressing and locator system designed for the Internet and portable devices, Friday announced the expansion of its business and product development team.
Go2 has appointed Kirsten Mangers as vice president, business and product development for online services and Chris Stokes as the director, business development for wireless applications. In her new role at Go2, Mangers will be responsible for all revenue, traffic, distribution and product development including the design and user interface for Go2online.com. Stokes will be responsible for business development with wireless carriers and other device manufacturers, and will work from Dallas.
"Kirsten and Chris come to Go2 with the entrepreneurial spirit and experience needed for our company that's literally working at Internet-speed," said Lee Hancock, founder and president of Go2 Systems Inc.
"With their expertise in the Internet, wireless, Yellow Pages and telecommunications markets, they will advance Go2's presence and brand as the location-based technology to find whatever you want from wherever you are using Web-enabled wireless devices."
Mangers brings more than 15 years of Internet and Yellow Pages Directory industry experience to her new position at Go2. Originally recruited to Pacific Bell from her own successful media sales consulting business to launch their first California World Wide Web site, Mangers went on to oversee that company's mergers with SBC, SNET and AmeriTech.
She eventually managed the sales, operations and marketing efforts of 23 directors and 2,500 sales representatives in 13 states, exceeding efficiency and revenue projections.
Stokes joins Go2 with more than ten years experience in new media, Internet, voice response, wireless and high technology industries with proven results developing Fortune 500 accounts including Bell Atlantic, BellSouth, Hearst, Yahoo!, Doubleclick and ISyndicate.
Previously at IT Network Inc., a $25 million new media and advertising sales organization, he was responsible for all marketing and business development. While at Brite Voice Systems Inc., Stokes directed three major account representatives with quotas more than $5 million.
