John Q. Hammons Hotels, Inc. Now Trading On American Stock Exchange

SPRINGFIELD, Mo.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Feb. 28, 2000
John Q. Hammons Hotels, Inc. today announced that the American Stock Exchange (AMEX) has approved the listing of the Company's shares, which will begin trading on the AMEX under the ticker symbol "JQH" effective today, February 28, 2000.
John Q. Hammons, chairman and chief executive officer of the Company stated, "We believe the American Stock Exchange best suits a small-cap growth company like John Q. Hammons Hotels, Inc. and look forward to working together with the American Stock Exchange management to continue to represent the best interest of our shareholders."
Springfield, Mo.-based John Q. Hammons Hotels, Inc. currently owns and manages 51 hotels, including four managed hotels, with 12,592 rooms in 21 states.
