About SnapManager for Exchange
Announced today in a separate press release, Network Appliance's SnapManager for Exchange, unlike other data availability solutions, performs a Snapshot(TM) backup of the Exchange databases without shutting down Exchange services - providing continuous uptime for an online backup. In the event of data corruption, SnapManager empowers administrators to rapidly restore all of the Exchange data in minutes - as opposed to the hours required to restore data from traditional tape backup solutions.
SnapManager for Exchange backup and recovery is designed to give administrators more options with increased storage space. The Snapshot backups reside on the NetApp filer, which can support up to 20 different Snapshots concurrently with minimal space requirements.
