Miller Heiman, Inc. announces Sam Reese as new CEO

Miller Heiman, Inc. today announced that Sam Reese has been named chief executive officer. Mr. Reese brings more than 14 years of sales and marketing experience to Miller Heiman.
He has held positions of increasing responsibility in sales and general management with Xerox, British Telecom, Kinko's, and Corporate Express.
Prior to joining the company, he was corporate vice president of sales and marketing for Corporate Express, one of the largest suppliers of office products and services to corporations in the world. While with Corporate Express, he managed all elements of a sales management system for 1,400 salespeople, integrated a strategic/national account program which combined all lines of business into one sales system, and managed sales force training and development.
Additionally, he was responsible for managing highly successful e-commerce initiatives for Corporate Express. Under Mr. Reese's guidance, the customer-friendly ordering system generated a significant increase in their online business.
He began his career in sales and marketing with Xerox Corporation before moving to British Telecom and Kinko's Inc. While at Kinko's Inc. he was responsible for creating and leading the emerging Kinko's Commercial Sales organization. His implementation of Strategic Selling(R) principles and skills assessment program helped him identify high potential representatives. The productivity of salespeople doubled in less than one year and the average account billing increased fivefold.
