American Business Press and Fordham University Target Media Savvy Journalism Students At Media Forum

NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Feb. 9, 2000

American Business Press (ABP) and Fordham University host the second in a series of University Forums at academic member universities. The Media Forum, &uot;Magazines that Cover the Media Industry&uot; runs at Fordham University, Flom Auditorium, Walsh Family Library in the Bronx, NY, Tuesday, March 7.

Hosted by ABP academic members, the University Forums are panel discussions that examine issues of interest to journalism students, faculty and ABP members. The series has been made possible by a grant from Intertec Publishing, a PRIMEDIA Co. The forums are free to ABP members, students and faculty. They offer leading b2b experts an opportunity to share their business experiences and offer career options and advice to the next generation of publishers, editors, writers, and magazine owners. The forums provide ABP members with an opportunity to share information and concerns about crucial issues that concern us all. An opening reception begins at 5:45 p.m., followed by the panel discussion from 6:30 - 8 p.m.

Gordon T. Hughes II, President, ABP, will welcome attendees to the event. Susan Barnes, Ph.D., Associate Chair, Department of Communications &Media Studies, Fordham University, moderates with guest panelists: Scott Donaton, Editor, Advertising Age; William Gloede, Editorial Director, Mediaweek; Matthew Schwartz, Editor, min magazine; and Tony Silber, Editorial Director, Folio: magazine.
