City Bank Reports No Y2K Problems

LYNNWOOD, Wash.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jan. 1, 2000

As of Jan. 1, 2000, City Bank (Nasdaq:CTBK) has experienced no major problems due to the millennium date change.

The Bank has tested all of it's critical systems and will continue to do so for several more days. According to Dan Coppin, Senior Vice President of Technology, "Y2K errors could still be evident in the days to come. The inconveniences may not be immediately apparent this weekend. We will continue to monitor our systems, but are confident that there will be no major interruption in service to customers."

City Bank is a locally owned and operated commercial bank founded in 1974 and headquartered in Lynnwood, Washington. Eight banking offices and two mortgage offices serve Snohomish, North King and Pierce counties. City Bank is a full service bank, offering deposit and loan services to both businesses and individuals.
