TeleCommunication Systems, Inc. Announces Million Dollar FCCI Communications Cabling Contract

TAMPA, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jan. 10, 2000

TeleCommunication Systems, Inc. (TCS) announced today the receipt of a million dollar plus contract award from W.G. Mills, General Contractor, for the installation of all communications cabling in the new FCCI Insurance Group corporate center located in Sarasota, Florida.

FCCI is one the largest workmen compensation carriers in the Southeast. This new single tenant facility will open in early 2001 will consist of over 300 thousand square feet. This location will initially be occupied by a staff of 400.

The one-year effort by TCS, starting in January 2000, will include the installation and testing of over 8000 "zoned" communication locations with multi-port outlets installed in raised access flooring.

This advanced approach allows for maximum space efficiency and flexibility. Over 1.5 million feet of cooper and fiber optic cabling will be installed with over 35,000 cable terminations. This project will be managed and staffed from TCS's regional office in Tampa, Florida.
