IDAHO FALLS, Idaho--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jan. 11, 2000
AMX International announced today the official J.D. Edwards (Nasdaq:JDEC) certification of the AMX Application Adapter for users of Agile Software's (Nasdaq:AGIL) Agile Anywhere(TM) and J.D. Edwards OneWorld(TM) software.
The interface application developed by AMX International synchronizes Agile Anywhere's product content information with J.D. Edwards databases. It enables users to take advantage of the powerful features of Agile Anywhere(TM) for managing engineering changes, bills of material, approved manufacturers lists, and to then publish that information to their J.D. Edwards enterprise applications, in full compliance with J.D. Edwards population standards. The AMX Application Adapter benefits OneWorld(TM)/Agile Anywhere(TM) customers who are primarily in the electronics, medical device, and manufacturing sectors.
"Certification of the AMX Application Adapter to Agile Anywhere(TM) is a key factor in strengthening our total offering to J.D. Edwards customers who want their up-to-the-minute product content management information to be communicated throughout the enterprise," said Daryl Latham, Partner Relationship Manager, J.D. Edwards. "When a customer knows a partner product has been certified by J.D. Edwards, the customer has the added level of comfort needed to make software purchasing decisions that will positively impact its business for many years to come. We are very excited about the work that has been done by Agile and AMX to certify the interface to OneWorld(TM), and we are certain that our customers will benefit greatly from this joint effort."
"Customers use Agile Anywhere(TM) to assure timely communication and collaboration of product content information with supply chain partners," said Brian Cipresse, partner marketing manager at Agile. "This certification assures J.D. Edwards OneWorld(TM) customers that this same critical product content information is seamlessly -- and automatically -- moved throughout their enterprise, to everyone involved in the product realization process. Such integration is a key part of Agile's value proposition, helping customers stay completely synchronized across their supply chain, while providing an easy-to-use, out-of-the-box solution."
"The certification of the AMX Application Adapter for WorldSoftware(TM) one year ago, and the recent certification for OneWorld(TM), is giving many companies a competitive advantage in their marketplace," says Rick Stamps, Product Manager, AMX International. "Both AMX Application Adapters benefit the overall business function by reducing labor costs, saving time and offering economically configurable custom processes."
The AMX Application Adapter provides a seamless, automatic integration between Agile Anywhere(TM) and J.D. Edwards OneWorld(TM) and enables ISO certification, automated "Error Free" data updates, complete audit trail functionality, and real time reporting. The AMX Application Adapter offers user-defined security log-on, web enabled features, user-friendly functionality and flexible business function processes to assure data integrity and consistent data flow with each J.D. Edwards release.
