Lumenon: SEC Filing Status Update

As previously announced, on November 5, 1999, Lumenon Innovative Lightwave Technology Inc. filed its Form 10 Registration Statement with the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) to register its Common Stock under the Securities Exchange Act of 1934. Lumenon received SEC comments on the filing on December 20, 1999 and filed a responsive amendment on December 30, 1999. Lumenon is currently awaiting further SEC response.
Lumenon is taking the necessary steps with its Market Makers to ensure that trading of Lumenon Common Stock will continue in the Pink Sheets after January 14, 2000. Upon effectiveness of the Form 10, Lumenon will use its best efforts to reinstate trading on the OTC Bulletin Board and to continue the NASDAQ listing process. No assurances can be given that the Registration Statement will become effective or that the NASDAQ listing application will be accepted.
Lumenon designs, develops and builds integrated optics devices in the form of compact hybrid glass circuits on silicon chips. Lumenon's Common Stock is currently traded under the symbol LUMM on the over-the-counter Bulletin Board (OTC BB).
