eHobbies.com to Unveil World's Largest Model Train and Host Hobby Day at Los Angeles Challengers Boys &Girls Club

Challengers Boys &Girls Club, Los Angeles
WHAT: In honor of January being National Hobby Month, hundreds of
kids from Boys &Girls clubs across the country have
designed the world's largest model train representing what
they'd like to be when they grow up. The train will be
unveiled during Hobby Day at the Challengers Boys &Girls
Club in Los Angeles.
To kick off the Hobby Day festivities, Los Angeles-area
children will take part in fun hobby activities in four key
areas, including:
-- Model trains -- Kids learn to create model trains in a
variety of scales and gauges.
-- Radio control -- R/C cars, boats and helicopters that can
reach up to 60 miles per hour will be created and on
display. Kids will also take part in R/C car races!
-- Model building -- Kids will learn to build plastic, wood
and paper models.
-- Rocketry -- Aspiring astronauts will learn to build
rockets and much more!
eHobbies experts will be on hand to help kids with their
hobby in order to learn about the qualities hobbies promote,
such as dedication, commitment and patience.
eHobbies.com was established in March 1999 by two hobbyists
-- Brad Sobel, a train and rocketry buff, and Brent Cohen,
an avid plastic modeler and rocketeer. The company's two
