The Tolly Group Certifies AderoWorld Service Accelerates Internet Web-Site Response Time; Independent Tests Demonstrate AderoWorld Service Improves Response Times

In several tests performed over a two-week period, The Tolly Group measured that the Adero-hosted cached web sites delivered response times that were, on average, 14% faster than non-cached Web sites without the AderoWorld Service.

Methodology

The Tolly Group accessed two different Web sites containing the same NASA home page Web content. One was the original Web site, owned and maintained by NASA on NASA property; the other was one of several mirror sites owned and operated by Adero as part of AderoWorld Service. Internet DNS entries pointed to the AderoWorld Service site, but Adero provided The Tolly Group with an alternate &uot;hidden&uot; URL to reach the NASA-maintained server. In this configuration, The Tolly Group accessed the NASA home page on the AderoWorld Service site at a location that potentially was accessed simultaneously by other users on the Internet. By contrast, the NASA home page on the actual NASA-maintained server was accessed only by the few individuals aware of the hidden URL with a specific need to circumvent Adero's service. The Tolly Group alternately accessed the AderoWorld Service NASA home page and the NASA-maintained home page while measuring response times with a network analyzer. Specifically, The Tolly Group performed three tests to the NASA home page interspersed with two tests to the NASA-maintained home page, for a total of five consecutive tests.
