Clarent(tm) Corporation (NASDAQ: CLRN), a worldwide leader in providing carrier-grade, phone-to-phone Internet Protocol (IP) telephony solutions, today launched its second annual customer summit, called 'Ohana Halawai(1), in Maui, Hawaii, with over 300 attendees expected.

The event provides an opportunity for Clarent customers to hear presentations from industry experts on the future direction of the IP telephony industry; from Clarent management about the company's technology and market direction; and from Clarent customers on their IP telephony experiences.

The goal of the forum is for Clarent customers to gain insights and to share their vision about the future of the IP telephony market. The summit is also an occasion for Clarent customers to meet each other and to explore relationships that compliment these customers' IP telephony businesses on a global basis.

Keynote speakers at Clarent's customer summit include Paul Johnson, managing director, Equity Research from Robertson Stephens investment bank and also co-author of the successful business book entitled &uot;The Gorilla Game&uot;; Hilary Mine, executive vice president and leading IP telephony industry analyst from Probe Research and Jeff Pulver, CEO and President from Pulver.com.
