Super-Stylish SLIM-2000 Features Dramatic, Remote-Controlled
Motorized Doors
System Looks and Sounds Expensive, But Isn't
Designed to be as pleasing to the eyes as it is to the ears, Fisher's stunningly versatile new SLIM-2000 is the industry's first slim-profile, wall-mountable audio system to offer the ultimate convenience of a built-in 3-disc CD changer.
See-through motorized doors make an undeniably dramatic statement, presenting the SLIM-2000's 3-CD changer in impressive high fashion. The user simply touches a single key on the remote control, and the track-guided doors glide open or closed smoothly and quietly.
For entertaining with impact, the SLIM-2000 features a rich blue "mood light" which softly illuminates the CD changer. The user can select or deselect the mood light feature whether the system is playing or not.
Capable of rich, room-filling stereo sound that belies its compact size, the 3.5 inch-deep Fisher SLIM-2000 offers a vertical-loading 3-disc CD changer with snap-in loading and 21-selection random programming (from 3 CDs). An AM/FM digital tuner provides 20 AM and 20 FM station presets, and users can wake-to or sleep-to either radio or CD tracks.
Like its award-winning(1) predecessors -- 1998's SLIM-1000 and 1999's SLIM-1500 -- the new SLIM-2000 is as "at home" on a kitchen, den or home office wall as it is on a desktop or shelf. Listen to continuous CD to CD playback or select any track directly from the comfort of a sofa. Choose any combination of tracks, as the SLIM-2000 features fast CD switchover.
Key features of the SLIM-2000 also include 3-mode CD repeat play/random play, SureWake alarm functions, 12-hour digital clock, battery backup system, 2-way bass reflex speakers, and a full-function remote control.
Two different-colored sets of removable speaker grilles are included to provide a fitting accent to any contemporary room decor.
Additional SLIM-2000 features include: a subwoofer output; large, multi-function backlit LCD display; switchable Dynamic Bass sound enhancement; electronic volume control; separate bass/treble controls; stereo headphone jack; line in/out jacks; mute function; and disc compartment illumination. The system features 10 watts per channel (RMS) output.
Dimensions are 12.75 inches W x 13.5 inches H x 3.5 inches D (main) and 8 inches W x 13.5 inches H x 3.5 inches D (each speaker). A wall-mount bracket and mounting hardware is included.
Suggested retail price of the Fisher SLIM-2000 is $299.95. It will be available in August 2000. Sanyo Fisher Co. is a division of Sanyo North America Corp., a subsidiary of Sanyo Electric Co., Ltd., a $17 billion manufacturer and distributor of consumer and commercial electronics and electric products.
