Sodexho Marriott Services Awarded Contract for 38 Tenet Healthcare Hospitals

GAITHERSBURG, Md.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jan. 7, 2000

Sodexho Marriott Services (NYSE: SDH) announced today that its health care division was awarded a five-year contract to provide food and nutrition management services in approximately 38 hospitals owned by Tenet Healthcare Corporation (NYSE:THC).

The 38 Tenet acute care hospitals are located in California, Nebraska, and Pennsylvania.

Sodexho Marriott Services began operating Tenet's 8-hospital Philadelphia region in October of 1999. By mid-February, the Company will initiate service in the remaining hospitals.
