class.com Releases New Online Courses for High School Students; Expanded Course Offerings Support Fully Accredited High School Diploma

class.com, inc., a provider of Internet-based online education for high school students, announced today that nine new online high school courses will be available for student enrollments this fall.

The new online courses meet standard diploma requirements and extend the class.com online offering to 47 total courses. Like the 38 online courses currently available, the additional courses will be available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year for the convenience of students throughout the world.

The courses scheduled for the fall release include:

-- American Government: Theories, Policies and Politics. Analysis

of the American federal system of government as outlined by

the Constitution of the United States.

-- Civics. Students' roles as American citizens including their

rights and responsibilities in state and local governments,

the home and school, the economy, and the world.

-- General Literature 2. A study of literature covering themes

appealing to the interests and concerns of teen-agers.

-- Introduction to Nutrition. The fundamental ideas of personal

nutrition covering topics such as digestion, weight control,

and the function of nutrients.

-- Multicultural Literature. Short stories and novels from

Hispanic, Asian, African, and Native American authors.

-- Precalculus 1: Analytic Geometry and Algebra. Analytic

geometry and advanced topics in algebra including algebraic,

logarithmic, exponential, and matrix functions.

-- Precalculus 2: Trigonometry. A study of trigonometric concepts

and applications including trigonometric identities, solutions

of right and oblique triangles, and solutions of trigonometric

equations and functions.

-- Sociology. The study of behavior of people in groups with

special attention to the mechanisms of social control and

forces of social change.

-- World Cultures. A study of the world's cultures through five

themes: location, place, interaction, movement, and regions.
