Global Temporary Employment Provider Will Use Business Objects

to Enhance and Differentiate Service to Customers

In the new economy, temporary work will play a major role in allowing companies to maintain incredible growth rates and deal with the dynamic and constantly moving workforce. VediorBis plans to help its clients obtain a better understanding of their recruiting and temporary workforce by providing a customer care extranet to its clients. VediorBis is the French subsidiary of Vedior and is an international leader in temporary work with operations in 27 countries and more than 12,500 employees and 2,000 agencies. The VediorBis extranet will be powered by WebIntelligence(R), the leading query, reporting, and analysis solution for the internet from Business Objects (Nasdaq: BOBJ), the world's leading provider of e-business intelligence (e-BI) solutions.

VediorBis is using WebIntelligence to offer its customers privileged and safe access to data. Now, with direct access to data to the Internet, clients will have information concerning thousands of temporary workers managed by VediorBis. Customers can exploit and disseminate this data without intervention by VediorBis. For example, a specific internal study based on VediorBis data can be circulated automatically to a list of users included in a dedicated directory.

"Business Objects and e-business intelligence serve a strategic goal for VediorBis," said Frederic Tiberghien, CEO of VediorBis. "Enterprises, especially in the new economy, increasingly concentrate on core business and outsource the HR function. VediorBis intends to expand its temporary work market share and become the global support of both national and international companies. Business Objects will help make this possible."

In the Vediorbis extranet, more than 30 standard reports already available will enable customers to perform thorough multidimensional analyses following different dimensions (geographical, professional, managerial, followup of budgets and allocations among others). This powerful solution will help companies have a better understanding of their workforce and recruitment.

"VediorBis is the type of e-business innovator which sets the standards for an industry," said Jean-Marc Bellot, marketing director at Business Objects France. "We are extremely pleased to see that VediorBis fully recognizes the value of delivering e-business intelligence content to customers. As a result, VediorBis will dramatically improve customer relationships and enjoy undisputed leadership in its market."

About Business Objects

Business Objects is the world's leading provider of e-business intelligence (e-BI) solutions. The company coined the term e-business intelligence in 1998 to describe the intersection of business intelligence and the internet. Using e-business intelligence, organizations can access, analyze, and share information in intranet, extranet, and e-business environments. In intranets, the company's products provide employees with information to make better business decisions, and are used in environments ranging from workgroups of 20 users to enterprise deployments exceeding 20,000. In the extranet environment, the company is pioneering the use of e-BI in applications that allow organizations to build stronger relationships by linking customers, partners, and suppliers via the internet. In addition, the company's products can improve the performance of an e-business by providing reporting and analysis against the ever-expanding amount of transaction and profile data that is collected each day throughout the world wide web.

Founded in 1990, Business Objects pioneered the modern business intelligence industry by inventing and patenting a "semantic layer" that insulates users from the technical complexity of database systems. Today, the company has sold more than 1,910,000 licenses to over 10,200 organizations in more than 80 countries. The company's stock is publicly traded under the ticker symbols Nasdaq: BOBJ and PARIS BOURSE: code SICOVAM 12074, and included in the SBF 120 and IT CAC 50 French stock market indexes. Business Objects can be reached at 408/953-6000 and www.businessobjects.com.
