Business Wire, July 13, 2000

Business Editors

TORONTO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--July 13, 2000

Commercial Consolidators Corp. (CDNX:CCZ.) announces it has formally closed its acquisition of Desig Inc. ("Desig"), a Montreal-based software developer and information technology company which targets the hospitality sector. The purchase price was 3.1 million common shares of the Company at a deemed price of $3.75 per share of which 1 million shares are subject to a performance based escrow agreement. Key management of Desig has concurrently entered into three-year management agreements with the Company. Desig will operate as a wholly owned subsidiary of Commercial Consolidators Corp.

"Our acquisition of Desig will allow Commercial Consolidators to penetrate new markets and access over 700 global locations serviced by Desig," stated Michael Weingarten, CEO of Commercial Consolidators Corp. "Desig will be making a solid contribution to our overall revenues and profits, and is an excellent fit with our other business operations," he added.

Traditionally, small to medium-sized hotel operators (properties with 20 - 200 rooms) are unable to match the technological investment of large-sized hotels in property management. By providing application service provider ("ASP") software solutions and a pioneering portal hotel management system, Desig puts all properties on a level playing field. Today, small and medium-sized hotel operators can use a leading edge property management system on an economical per-use basis without incurring the cost of purchasing, managing and upgrading in-house solutions.

The U.S. hospitality market spends approximately $3 billion on information technology ("IT") support according to the American Hotel & Motel Association. Desig is the only Canadian company to provide scaleable, online property management services and is one of only a few in North America currently offering this technology to the market place. Desig has a 42 per cent market share in Eastern Canada and has been ranked as providing one of the top 10 hospitality solutions by Specialty Magazine. Desig has also achieved in excess 35 per cent earnings growth over the past year.
