SAN DIEGO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--July 17, 2000

From airplane flights to fitness experts to first downs, several high-profile companies have selected Websense Inc.'s (Nasdaq:WBSN) employee Internet management (EIM) software in the last three months.

New customer additions for Websense include Conoco, the Federal Aviation Administration, Gap, GE (Canada), Green Bay Packers, Rolex, U.S. Department of Energy and 24 Hour Fitness.

Websense software helps companies manage how their employees use the Internet at work. Websense Enterprise -- the company's flagship product -- lets managers limit their employees non-work-related access to the Web, increasing employee productivity, saving bandwidth and eliminating legal liability.

With the new additions, Websense now has more than 200 of the Fortune 500 -- and 40 of the Nikkei 225 -- as customers.

"It's no secret why our client list reads like a 'Who's Who' in business," said John B. Carrington, chief executive officer of Websense. "Websense understands the corporate marketplace better than anyone in the industry. These new customers grasp the importance of managing the Internet for their greatest asset -- their employees."
