Interwoven Announces New Members of Executive Management Team; Interwoven's Business Success Driving Expansion of Executive Team

Interwoven, Inc. (Nasdaq:IWOV), the leading provider of enterprise-class content management software, today announced the appointment of six new vice presidents to its executive team: Frank Florence as vice president, B2B strategy; Anita Brunner as vice president and general counsel, Kevin Cochrane as vice president: product management: Tim Hampson as vice president, enterprise marketing; Kevin Hayden as vice president, corporate communications and Frank Skubal as vice president, global accounts and strategic alliances.

Mr. Florence brings 18 years of technology management experience to Interwoven. Over the past 11 years Florence has held general management positions here in Silicon Valley, most recently as CEO of SmartDB, where he rapidly grew the business to supporting a level of 330 customers in 17 countries worldwide. Florence has also held executive management positions at Parallax and Dataquest. Florence's academic degrees include a B.A. and an M.B.A. from Santa Clara University.
In addition to Mr. Florence, Interwoven has promoted five individuals to vice president. The new vice presidents are:
Anita Brunner, Vice President and General Counsel
Ms. Brunner has been general counsel since August 1999 and is responsible for all of Interwoven's legal matters. Prior to Interwoven, Ms. Brunner held positions at Adaptec and 3Com. A graduate of Santa Clara University School of Law, Brunner has been with Interwoven since February 1999 and brings 9 years of legal experience.
Kevin Cochrane, Vice President, Product Management
Mr. Cochrane, one of Interwoven's most well-respected technologists, has been with Interwoven since 1996. As Interwoven's first product manager he has been responsible for the launch of TeamSite 1.0 through TeamSite 4.2. Director of product management since March 1999, Cochrane has continued to play a lead role framing Interwoven's product vision. In his new role Cochrane will assume broader responsibilities for all of Interwoven's products and report directly to vice president of corporate development, John Van Siclen. Cochrane has a B.A. from Stanford University.
Tim Hampson, Vice President, Enterprise Marketing
Mr. Hampson joined Interwoven in 1999 as director of international marketing, responsible for driving Interwoven's multinational marketing initiatives and for managing its industry analyst relations. Hampson has been instrumental in facilitating Interwoven's rapid market penetration in both Europe and Asia. In his expanded responsibilities, Hampson and his team will develop programs to accelerate adoption of Interwoven products in large enterprises.
Prior to Interwoven, Hampson worked at Genesys Telecommunications, where he was general manager, Japanese operations. He has also held a number of sales and marketing management positions with IBM, Sybase and Illustra/Informix. Hampson's academic degrees include a B.Sc. in Physics from Manchester University, England, and Ph.D. in Theoretical Physics from Nottingham University, England.
Kevin Hayden, Vice President, Corporate Communications
Mr. Hayden has been Interwoven's director of corporate communications since early 1999. He has been responsible for rolling out Interwoven's media relations strategy and the company's successful pre and post IPO market awareness campaign. In his new role Mr. Hayden assumes responsibility for all of Interwoven's corporate communications strategies and programs worldwide.
Prior to Interwoven, Hayden held a number of sales, marketing and financial positions with Brio Technologies, Informix Software and Compaq. Hayden's academic degrees include a B.S. in Accounting and an M.S. in Finance from Bentley College in Massachusetts.
Frank Skubal, Vice President, Global Accounts and Strategic Alliances.
Mr. Skubal joined Interwoven in June of 1999 as regional sales manager for the Central U.S. region. In his new capacity, he will oversee sales for Interwoven's largest and most strategic enterprise accounts and sales opportunities in areas such as B2B exchanges and the public sector. He will also have overall responsibility for expanding and strengthening Interwoven's relationship with its consulting and systems integrator partners. Prior to Interwoven, Skubal was a regional sales manager for Verity where he worked closely with enterprise accounts and integrator partners. He brings 12 years sales and sales management experience to Interwoven. Mr. Skubal holds a B.B.A. from Loyola University of Chicago.
