"We welcome Synermedics to the DealerOne program," said Paul Dandrow, vice president of business development for InSite One. "Synermedics and its Dataview subsidiary have a national scope and experience in building flexible imaging solutions and information systems for hospitals and healthcare facilities. Our digital archive enhances Synermedics' solution by providing users with a secure Internet link to a nearline DICOM digital image warehouse. They are an excellent channel partner for InDex and we will work closely with them to offer InDex as part of their portfolio."
"We selected InSite One because of their expertise in image storage and retrieval and their industry reputation for outstanding products and services," said Robert Arkin, Synermedics CEO. "As we continue to grow, we hope to expand our relationship with InSite One to take advantage of their expertise."
"We are extremely impressed with the InDex service," said Dataview Imaging President Kurt Farhy. "Hospitals and imaging centers are demanding a fast, flexible and cost-effective PACS archiving and retrieval solution. InDex offers an outstanding solution to these facilities and complements our suite of imaging solutions. We look forward to a mutually beneficial and productive partnership."
InSite One's DealerOne program is a commission-based dealer program aimed at suppliers of radiology and imaging products and services. Working closely with InSite One's regional sales teams, Synermedics will acquire and maintain customer accounts and reap the recurring monthly revenues that the InDex pay-as-you-go service generates.
Ideally suited for hospitals, imaging centers and physician group practices, InSite One offers a flexible and secure service for online, nearline and offline access, storage and archiving of DICOM (Digital Imaging and Communications in Medicine) radiological images. InSite One's fee-based InDex service is designed to optimize both online and nearline DICOM image storage and access and to provide offline archiving.
With its open architecture, InDex easily integrates with any DICOM-compliant PACS (Picture Archiving and Communications System) modality as well as hospital and radiological information systems. InDex provides on-demand access to radiological images residing either locally or at a storage facility that is linked via the Internet or Virtual Private Network (VPN) to a hospital's network.
InDex complements the functionality, performance and economy of an enterprise PACS by enabling hospitals to cost-effectively outsource the storage and archiving component. By creating a DICOM image warehouse, InDex eliminates the need for large on-site PACS storage and archiving. For organizations without a full PACS, InDex delivers the storage and archival of a PACS without the high capital outlay, maintenance costs, technical upgrades, and staffing support.
