SANTA CLARA, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--July 24, 2000

Allegrix announced today it has signed an agreement with Great Plains and has become a Great Plains Approved ASP Partner and a Great Plains Approved Data Center. With this certification, Allegrix, an ASP infrastructure enabler who provides web-enabling services, data center hosting, and marketing support services for VARs and ISVs can aggressively assist Great Plains channel partners in offering ASP-based solutions.

"By becoming a Great Plains Certified Data Center, Allegrix has demonstrated the ability to meet the changing needs of the marketplace by hosting leading-edge Great Plains solutions for our channel partners," said Jim Traynor, director of Great Plains ASP business development. "Allegrix is a natural fit for Great Plains partners as they are a 'pure' channel player; they help our channel move to the ASP business model in a very cooperative manner."

As a Great Plains Approved ASP Partner, Allegrix offers a powerful way for VARs and ISVs to deploy Great Plains solutions. By becoming an ASP, Great Plains VARs can provide access to Great Plains solutions across the Internet while relieving customers of the responsibility to manage IT resources and infrastructure. This allows customers to focus on their core business competencies and enable technical staff to be more productive. Additionally, customers working with an ASP may realize a lower total cost of hardware ownership.

"In the short time we've been working with Allegrix, we are extremely impressed with their ability to bring the ASP market, and new business opportunities, within reach," said Brian Regan, Partner, LOR Management Services, an LA-based provider of value-added finance, accounting and ecommerce solutions. "Their commitment to customer service combined with the power of the Allegrix Data Center makes our business proposition stronger than it's ever been."

Allegrix provides three key services for Great Plains VARs and ISVs. First, Allegrix's web-enabling services help VARs get their Great Plains applications and unique configuration and data sets ready for a web-based delivery model. With unique technology, Allegrix can web-enable applications in days, as opposed to reprogramming efforts which have typically taken months. Secondly, Allegrix offers Data Center hosting services for Great Plains VARs, enabling them to directly leverage a highly scalable, reliable Data Center environment, eliminating the need for IT infrastructure support in the deployment, management, monitoring and maintenance of business servers. And thirdly, Allegrix offers marketing and sales support for Great Plains VARs and ISVs, assisting them with the internal business processes, marketing activities and the sales support necessary in augmenting their offerings with ASP-based solutions.

"Achieving the level of Great Plains Data Center Certification is a key element of our channel-powered ASP business model," said Chris Clabaugh, president and CEO, Allegrix. "This certification, combined with our unique ASP channel-enablement programs puts us in the lead for moving traditional VARs and solution providers into the ASP business model."

Allegrix is an ASP infrastructure enabler that provides application web-enabling, data center hosting, and marketing services for VARs, ISVs and medium to large organizations. By partnering with Allegrix, ISVs and VARs can instantly become ASPs, enabling them to tap into new markets, reach new customers and create new revenue opportunities. Allegrix hosts applications in its Data Center that delivers the reliability, availability, and scalability necessary to meet the needs of virtually any business size.
