Stephen D. Moylan Joins ThingWorld.com as President and CEO

Seasoned executive brings extensive broadcast and publishing
experience, will lead company to provide the next generation of
digital commerce solutions
ThingWorld.com, developers of a world-class multimedia technology that enables sports, entertainment and media companies to expand their online businesses by controlling and leveraging their digital media assets, announced today that Stephen D. Moylan will join the company as President and CEO, effective August 9, 2000. Mr. Moylan will leave his position as President and CEO of InfoWorld Media Group to take on his new role at ThingWorld.com. Under his leadership, InfoWorld Media became one of the most successful computer publishing, online and events businesses in the country. He brings to ThingWorld.com over 15 years experience in sales, marketing and operations management with leading content companies.
During Mr. Moylan's tenure at InfoWorld Media (based in San Mateo, California), he was instrumental in growing the business to a $100 million company. InfoWorld was recently ranked by Folio Magazine as the "largest business to business title in the United States". In addition to his success running one of the most respected trade publications in North America, Mr. Moylan led the launch of the company's multi-million dollar web operation and events business.
Prior to InfoWorld, Mr. Moylan spent 5 years at CapCities ABC (now Disney ABC), building extensive experience in the broadcast and publishing industries. He earned his BA from Boston University and his MBA from the University of San Francisco.
