NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--July 24, 2000
USA Networks, Inc. (NASDAQ: USAI) announced today that Julius Genachowski has been appointed Senior Vice President and General Counsel of the Company. In this capacity, his responsibilities will include overseeing all of USAi's legal affairs. He will report to Victor Kaufman, Vice Chairman of USAi. "Julius Genachowski came to USAi with a unique and impressive background, and he now has broad experience and a track record of accomplishment inside our company. With this promotion, Julius will be able to contribute on a broader level, applying his knowledge of USAi and his legal and strategic skills and judgment. Julius is a terrific addition to our senior corporate management group, and we are grateful he is as excited about the opportunity as we are to have him do it," said Victor Kaufman. Mr. Kaufman continued, "Tom Kuhn has been an integral part of our executive team during our most critical years of growth. The foundation he helped establish and the wise counsel he brought to the decision making process are now established benchmarks within USAi, a credit to Tom's hard work. We respect his decision to move on, and we support him in whatever endeavor he chooses next."
