PALM BEACH, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--July 26, 2000
Ft. Lauderdale, Florida based Corrections Services, Inc. has been changed to RAM Venture Holdings Corp. (OTCBB:RAMV) reflecting the changing focus of the company.
"In June 2000, RAM Capital Management acquired a 33% stake in Corrections Services, with the intention of changing the company into an incubator for companies requiring financing and assistance in going public," stated Steven Oshinsky, GM of RAM Capital and now a Director of RAM Venture Holdings. This name change is reflective of the change in philosophy and business model of the company," continued Oshinsky.
"We have been actively considering several of the companies that RAM Capital has been financing and or advising over the last year or so to determine what will fit into our growth plans," stated Norman Becker, President of RAM Venture Holdings. " With the addition of Mr. Oshinsky, we believe we have taken the proper steps to enhance shareholder value for the long term,"continued Becker.
RAM Capital Management is a private equity fund that was founded in 1997 by its General Manager Steven Oshinsky. RAM has advised both public and private companies including DCH Technology, Inc. (OTCBB:DCHT), and Xybernaut Corporation, (Nasdaq:XYBR), and Dry Clean USA, (AMEX:DCU).
RAM is currently working with Tremor Entertainment, Inc. a Los Angeles based interactive game developer that plans to go public this fall. Tremor has just delivered the hit Railroad Tycoon II for Sega Dreamcast for publisher Take Two Interactive (Nasdaq:TTWO), and is readying the delivery of Kiss Psycho Circus, also for Sega and Take Two. Tremor is also working on its own first party title game for the Microsoft Xbox, (Nasdaq:MSFT) titled Warcaster.
