INFRASTRUCTURE is the leading independent industry source for information and analysis on the investor's view of the semiconductor manufacturing industry. In the presentation, Johnson and Leckie answered such questions as:
-- What's the outlook for the semiconductor and semiconductor
equipment industry for 2000 and beyond?
-- Are we in the middle of an extended growth cycle?
-- If we are in a long-term growth cycle, what products will
drive continued device consumption?
-- Are there factors that could accelerate or derail the cycle?
Leckie, INFRASTRUCTURE's CEO commented, "It's a formidable task to distill and synthesize all of today's information on this exciting industry." He added that, "We have been studying market trends and cycles for over six years, and today's business environment is about as good as it gets, whether you are in the industry or just making money from investments in it."
Johnson, INFRASTRUCTURE's President, said that, "Today's device manufacturing business is quite healthy. Fab expansion and new fab construction projects are clearly underway to expand capacity that will satisfy the demand for information age products."
