AudioRamp.com, the leading provider of digital audio solutions, Monday announced the iRad-P (Internet Radio Player) is now available to download for free at www.audioramp.com.
The iRad-P is designed to provide digital music listeners the ability to organize and distribute their audio to different playing devices including a home computer, work computer, portable MP3 players and iRad-S (Internet Stereo) from one convenient location.
"Music is already downloaded and played on your PC," said Dan Sheppard, president of AudioRamp.com. "What we have developed with the iRad-P is a total solution allowing for the organizing and playing of digital music over multiple players."
A current trend among digital audio listeners is to have multiple devices capable of playing streaming and audio files from the Internet making content management a very difficult task. AudioRamp.com has developed a feature to the iRad-P called the Internet Personal Audio Network Manager (iPan) to solve this problem.
The iPan is designed to help the user organize and move files around the Internet to multiple music players which can be in various locations.
The iPan allows the user to capture audio from their current CD collection and categorize them by album, artist, genre, books, or clips creating a virtual jukebox of the user's favorite music.
In addition, the iRad-P has time control capabilities providing the user with the ability to control, by time and date, when and where the user wants to listen to streaming audio stations or their digital audio playlists.
Another unique feature to the iRad-P is the AudioGrabber function, a plug-in program for your browser that allows you to manage MP3 files from popular music Web sites. The AudioGrabber will add the link to your music collection immediately, then download the file later.
AudioRamp.com is set to ship its iRad-S in June. The iRad-S is the first complete digital audio stand-alone Internet music appliance, with access to the Web via a 56k modem, Ethernet or the new HomePNA Network. A hi-fidelity sound system, the iRad-S is tailored to give the user a full audio experience.
The iRad-S provides the ability to play streaming audio and MP3 CDs plus store more than 1,000 MP3 files and has access to local AM/FM stations without a PC connection.
A stereo component version of the player, the iRad-C, is also available. The iRad-C supports TOS, for high-quality connection between stereo components. Pre-orders for the iRad-S and iRad-C can be made at www.audioramp.com for a retail price of $399.
