MALMO, Sweden--(BUSINESS WIRE)--June 21, 2000
Java and Large Project Enhancements Also Included
Telelogic AB (Stockholm Stock Exchange:TLOG), the leading supplier of design, development and testing tools for real-time and communications applications, today announced the availability of the latest version of its state-of-the-art, multi-user, UML development environment, Telelogic Tau UML Suite 4.3.
This latest version is feature rich with several important enhancements, including up-to-date method support for the UML 1.3 graphical notation.
Telelogic Tau UML Suite's unique strengths continue to be in the areas of multi-user support and project control. The benefits of improved development workflow are over and above the naturally strong UML support.
"The UML Suite differs from many of its competitors by providing support for specifying large-scale and complex systems," states Mike Budd lead analyst at Ovum, an independent research and consulting company for IT and telecoms.
"After the acquisition of the COOL:Jex business from Sterling Software, it is very important to our customers that Telelogic Tau UML Suite, as we now call it, maintains its position of leadership," said Ingemar Ljungdahl, CTO of Telelogic AB. "Confidence and continuity are paramount to UML developers, along with support for the latest release of UML itself. Couple this with the expectional professional services available worldwide, and you have a very powerful solution."
Other impressive new features include XML/XMI support. This allows UML models to be exchanged with a variety of complementary products. Java developers will find that support for Java2 and Enterprise Java Beans (EJBs) improves their productivity. C developers will welcome enhanced support for Microsoft Foundation Classes (MFC) and further improvements in the C roundtrip engineering.

Telelogic Tau UML Suite 4.3 is part of the complete Telelogic Tau environment and will be available from July 1st 2000 for Microsoft(R) Windows(R) 95, Windows(R) 98, Windows NT 4.0 and UNIX workstations.
