Dell Offers Customers a Choice of Post-Deployment Software
Applications From ON Technology and StorageSoft
Dell (Nasdaq:DELL) today announced software management offerings that will help reduce the complexity of managing PC environments and enable U.S. business customers to more easily manage their productivity software applications on Dell(tm) client systems.
Dell's OpenManage(tm) systems management strategy has expanded to include imaging solutions for rapid deployment from StorageSoft and unattended software and configuration management from ON Technology.
StorageSoft's ImageCast IC3 product as well as ON Technology's ON Command CCM product can be either factory-installed or downloaded from www.dell.com/imagemanagement along with trial versions of each application console. Dell customers maintain flexibility in selecting technologies that best match their business and manageability requirements.
"Managing software is one of the biggest challenges our business customers face," said Jeff Clarke, vice president, Dell's Relationship Products. "It can also be a costly proposition. We believe these new products will not only ease the process for our customers, but ultimately help lower their ownership costs."
