Intervisual Books Inc. (IBI) (Nasdaq:IVBK), the world's leading creator and producer of interactive pop-up books and playsets, has signed a multi-year licensing agreement with Warner Bros. Worldwide Publishing, a division of Time-Warner, to create, produce and distribute a commemorative pop-up book edition based on the original movie masterpiece, "The Wizard of Oz."
All the excitement of the world's most beloved film unfolds in three-dimensional splendor as you join Dorothy, the Scarecrow, the Tin Man, the Cowardly Lion and Toto on their journey to Oz. Over 50 photographs from the classic movie are presented in unforgettable scenes including the Twister, Munchkinland, the Haunted Forest and the Emerald City.
This special commemorative edition will be released this fall at a suggested retail price of $24.95 in celebration of the 100th anniversary of Frank Baum's original publishing of "The Wizard of Oz." The book will contain a limited edition audio compact disc with popular selections from the soundtrack.
IBI will distribute the book to its account base, which includes bookstores, mixed media retailers, book clubs, mail order catalogs, Internet retailers, specialty/trend retailers and QVC.
