ATLANTA and NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--June 22, 2000
Intelitools Packages Hardware, Internet Access, and Inteligate VPN Services To Provide Secure Network Solutions to Corporations and SOHOs
Intelispan, Inc. (OTCBB:IVPN), a managed network solutions company specializing in secure business-to-business data communications and e-commerce, today unveiled its newest solution, Intelitools(SM). This bundled offering incorporates hardware from International Business Machines (IBM); Internet access through Juno Online Services, Inc. (NASDAQ:JWEB), a leading provider of Web access and other Internet services nationwide; and a secure virtual private network (VPN) connection through Intelispan's Inteligate(SM) service. Intelitools is designed specifically to address the rapidly growing market created by corporations that want to provide their employees with secure access to the corporate enterprise from home and remote sites, through the simplicity of a single source provider.
As a single source provider, Intelispan will manage all direct contact with the Intelitools customer base. This includes both hardware and customized software procurement, configuration, distribution, and activation. Additionally, first tier customer end user support will be directed through a single customer service support number to a dedicated call-center. All of this, including a choice of three different IBM computers, is based on a flat-rate monthly fee, utilizing a single monthly bill to the corporation. Depending on the selected hardware configuration, pricing for the total Intelitools solution will range from $55 to $80 a month per person.
Intelitools incorporates state-of-the-art public key infrastructure (PKI) X.509 digital certificates as part of the secure VPN offering. By implementing the highest levels of network security, Intelitools allows for increased levels of worker productivity by enabling employees to access corporate enterprise applications. All Intelitools users will receive Internet access and e-mail through Juno Web(SM), Juno's premium dial-up Internet access service.
"There is a revolution occurring in remote computing, as more and more FORTUNE 100 and blue-chip companies are stepping up and funding the tools necessary for effective home-based e-commerce, including Internet access and private e-mail. Until recently, security considerations limited the benefits that could be realized from access to the corporate network via that same connection," said Intelispan's president and chief executive officer, Lee Provow. "With our Inteligate VPN service, Intelispan is adding the missing component to secure the connection to the workplace, so employees may effectively and securely communicate between the remote and corporate environment."
Provow continued, "Especially in today's highly competitive job market, providing employees with access to the corporate enterprise at any time and from anywhere is not only vital to productivity, it also shows them that the company values their contributions and wants to keep them happy."
Charles Ardai, Juno's president and chief executive officer, said, "This bundled offering adds a new dimension to our services, providing a one-source solution that includes our access along with the computer and security. We believe this approach will enable any business to quickly empower their employees with a world-class Internet experience that includes secure access to the company itself."
