LOS ANGELES--(BUSINESS WIRE)--June 26, 2000
The Linux Insider (www.LinuxInsider.com), the Linux news portal of the NewsFactor Network, has signed an agreement to be an official co-sponsor of IDG's upcoming LinuxWorld Conference & Expo, the largest Linux-focused event in the world.
The LinuxWorld Conference & Expo takes place August 14-17, 2000 in San Jose, California. IDG World Expo, the IDG business unit that owns and operates the show, estimates that more than 30,000 Linux users from around the world will attend this year's event.
"This cross-marketing agreement is a continuation of our ongoing alliance with IDG World Events, which began with our co-sponsorship of several Internet Commerce Expo (ICe) events," stated David Geller, spokesperson for the NewsFactor Network. "This conference is the premier industry event for everyone interested in Linux and open systems which is, of course, the core readership of the Linux Insider."
Under the terms of the agreement, the LinuxWorld Conference & Expo will be promoted on the Linux Insider Web site, with additional run-of-network advertising across all NewsFactor Network properties. In return, the Linux Insider news site will be featured in pre-show mailers, conference materials and on the LinuxWorld Conference & Expo Web site at www.linuxworldexpo.com.
