RALEIGH, N.C.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--June 28, 2000
HAHT Software, a leading global provider of business-to-business sell-side e-commerce solutions, today announced that Medline Industries, Inc., the largest privately held manufacturer and distributor of health care supplies in the U.S., re-launched its web site, featuring comprehensive e-commerce and order tracking capabilities.
The web site enables health care facilities to shop, create orders, and check the status of delivery through a browser. Because the site is powered by the HAHT Commerce e-Scenario suite of applications, all customer information is delivered in real-time from Medline's back-end ERP system, SAP R/3.
"We needed to offer our health care customers real-time access to order and inventory information from our corporate systems," said Mike McMahon, vice president of e-commerce for Medline. "HAHT worked with our IT folks to make this a reality in a short period of time. This kind of improved service helps keep our customers happy."
"We are committed to the success of our customers," said Rowland Archer, president and CEO of HAHT Software. "Bricks-and-mortar companies like Medline bet the bank on their e-commerce strategies, and HAHT is going to make sure they succeed. You have to earn that kind of trust."
