Be Free's Performance Marketing Program Helps MP3.com Hit a High Note; 47,000 Affiliates Recruited Since Program Launch One Year Ago

(Nasdaq:MPPP) has renewed its successful affiliate marketing program and expanded its payment structure. MP3.com is now using Be Free's LeadRunner(sm) program to drive traffic to its web site, while paying affiliate partners for each new customer acquired through its various programs, in addition to the cost per click program it launched in May 2000. MP3.com's program has recruited over 47,000 members since its launch in July 1999.
Members of MP3.com's affiliate program have the freedom to decide what type of marketplace to build. Affiliates can place the MP3.com "Top Artists" charts, a banner or search box anywhere on their affiliate site with an easy-to-use tool kit and potentially earn up to a 7% commission in return. MP3.com affiliates have 24-hour access to detailed reports that monitor sales and site traffic. In addition, MP3.com sends all of its affiliates a monthly HTML newsletter containing updates and tips about the program in order to help the affiliate to maximize their revenue and their experience as a MP3.com affiliate.
MP3.com Affiliate Program Options
Music Greetings Referral Program -- MP3.com currently offers its affiliates up to $5.00 per unique visitor referred. The member's account is credited $0.10 per card (up to $5.00) sent by a unique user. Music Greetings allow the member to send an electronic greeting card with a full-length MP3 song of the member's choice attached.
MP3.com MusicTuner -- MP3.com affiliates can earn $0.03 per click on click-throughs on the "Join My.MP3.com" and "Buy CDs" buttons on the MP3.com MusicTuner placed on their web site. The MP3.com MusicTuner music-enables members' sites with 18 different "radio" stations from a variety of genres. Web site visitors are able to listen to streaming music in either radio quality or CD quality, depending on the connection speed, without ever leaving the web site.
Bucks to Beam-it(tm) Program -- MP3.com currently offers its affiliates $1.00 for each new My.MP3.com account referred through the Bucks to Beam-it(tm) promotion. Beam-it(tm) is a revolutionary software program that lets members instantly identify the CDs they own so MP3.com can add them to the member's My.MP3.com account. With Beam-it(tm), the member will never have to upload song files or convert CDs to MP3s.
