LivePublish(TM) Software Gives National Underwriter Ability To Deliver
Updated Insurance And Financial Planning Information To Customers
NextPage, the leader in Content Delivery Solutions, announced Thursday that The National Underwriter Company has selected its unique LivePublish(TM) content delivery platform. National Underwriter will use the technology to migrate its family of insurance and financial planning products to a Web-based format that delivers content to customers via the Internet or corporate portals.
Using LivePublish, National Underwriter will first deliver Tax Facts 1 and 2 reference books to its customers. National Underwriter has plans to deliver its complete line of reference software products with LivePublish.
"LivePublish is the only professional information delivery platform of its kind," said Brad Pelo, chief executive officer of NextPage. "This technology provides professionals access to key information in a comprehensive and timely manner. We are pleased to partner with National Underwriter for this service."
As one of the nation's leading insurance information publishers, National Underwriter provides insurance professionals up-to-date information on tax changes, IRS rulings, key court decisions, life and health insurance, employee benefits and business and estate planning through Tax Facts and other products.
LivePublish software will allow thousands of National Underwriter users concurrent access to vast collections of frequently updated information via corporate portals or the Internet. National Underwriter's current Tax Facts software customers will be upgraded to the LivePublish version.
To access Tax Facts through a corporate portal, corporate clients can purchase a server from National Underwriter for their intranet or link to the National Underwriter Web site.
"Our customers need a central location to quickly access regularly updated tax and insurance information," said Anita Glasmeier, director of publications marketing for National Underwriter. "Our NextPage(TM) solution has given us a greater reach to our customers and has improved the way we deliver content to them. Plus, it's more cost-effective than an in-house solution."
With LivePublish, publishers can offer customers personalized views of information based on a user identity. Customers can be presented with a designated portion of the site, a list of individual titles they subscribe to, different views or templates, customized search forms or only specific components of the site.
Publishers can tailor a business/pricing model to the particular needs of a customer, ensuring that customers access information according to negotiated rights.
