Asia Global Crossing, GlobalCenter Japan, and NTT Data Corporation announced today an Internet data center operations agreement to develop and operate a Technology Park within the NTT Data Building in Otemachi, Tokyo that is intended to give data center customers more comprehensive service and connectivity options.

The Technology Park will capitalize on each company's assets and expertise to better address the growing data center market in Japan by offering more comprehensive services than each company offers separately. NTT Data will contribute its experience as an application service provider (ASP), its ASP platform, and its Web System Integrator (Web SI). GlobalCenter Japan will contribute its data center development and complex web hosting service expertise. Asia Global Crossing will extend its fiber optic network to the Technology Park to provide direct connection to more than 200 major business centers worldwide via the Global Crossing Network.

The Technology Park is now under construction and is expected to be operational by October. The agreement may eventually extend to future NTT Data facilities.

"Japan is experiencing rapid growth in the data center market," said John Legere, CEO of Asia Global Crossing. "In the Technology Park, by combining the data center expertise of GlobalCenter Japan, the fiber optic network and IP platform of Asia Global Crossing, and the systems integration and Internet-based solutions of NTT Data, data center customers will be provided with a high-quality, competitive service."

GlobalCenter Japan has been providing data center service since April 2000. As part of the GlobalCenter international network, the new data center will adhere to GlobalCenter technical specifications, ensuring global consistency of quality and service.
